YAS Arbitration Day is an annual conference organised by YAS since 2008. The conference programme includes a variety of lectures and panel discussions, providing the attendees with insights into interesting topics related to domestic and international arbitration.

The list of speakers generally includes experienced arbitration practitioners, scholars and other professionals with relevant expertise, and gives young practitioners the opportunity to participate and to showcase their expertise.

YAS Arbitration Day is a very popular event with high attendance by YAS members from all of Sweden as well as the other Nordic countries, providing a unique platform for networking and knowledge exchange.

The conference ends with an award ceremony and banquet for attendees and speakers.

YAS Thesis Award

YAS annually awards the Student Thesis of the Year, on subjects related to arbitration.
The winning thesis is chosen by an award committee currently consisting of Annica Börjesson (Advokat, MAQS), Rikard Wikström-Hermansen (Advokat, Roschier), Jakob Heidbrink (Associate Professor, University of Gothenburg) and Eric Bylander (Professor, Uppsala University).

The winner receives a price amount of SEK 15,000.

YAS Arbitration Advancement Award

YAS annually presents the Arbitration Advancement Award to acknowledge and celebrate a team or individual who has contributed in an admirable way in promoting arbitration in Sweden and/or internationally.

The winner is chosen by the YAS Board upon nominations from the arbitration community. Nominations can be made all year by e-mail to yas@youngarbitrators.se.
